Payment Channels
Policyholders registered with the Customer e-service can pay renewal premium with VISA/MasterCard/UnionPay Card via “Online Payment” gateway.
Important Notes
- This payment method is only applicable to premiums that are due or policies within the grace period.
- To protect your interests, we only accept premium payments made by the policyholder using own credit card or UnionPay card. Chow Tai Fook Life will not accept any payments from third parties.
- The policyholder may use Hong Kong or overseas-issued VISA or MasterCard, as well as China UnionPay cards issued in Mainland China, to pay premiums. Please note that UnionPay cards are only applicable for renewal premiums and limited to medical, personal accident, and pure life policies without savings components.
- The maximum amount per UnionPay transaction (including premium and administrative fee) is HKD 38,000. Transactions exceeding this limit will not be processed. Premiums and administrative fees will be charged together and settled in Hong Kong dollars.
- If payment is made using a non-HKD credit card, the premium will be converted based on the prevailing exchange rate at the time of transaction. Each transaction involves currency conversion, and the exchange rate and related fees are determined by the issuing bank. The cardholder is responsible for any charges imposed by the issuing bank.
- If you encounter any difficulties during the credit card transaction process, please contact your card-issuing bank directly.
- Please allow three working days for payment confirmation. We will not issue a paper receipt; please keep your online payment record as proof, or you may check your electronic receipt anytime via the Chow Tai Fook Life mobile application.
